Makanannya  penyu belimbing(Dermochelys coriacea) dimana makanan utamanya adalah ubur-ubur dan invertebrata berbadan lunak.
Panjang karapas penyu dewasa untuk jenis ini sekitar 140 cm – 170 cm.
Berat nya : 500 Kg
Jumlah telur biasanya sekitar 80 -100 butir
penyu belimbing(Dermochelys coriacea) dapat mempertahankan suhu tubuh hingga 16˚C lebih tinggi dari suhu lingkungannya menyebabkan ia sanggup menjelajah daerah yang dingin.
